MEET THE COACHES

HEAD COACH

Stephen Garvin

Stephen Garvin has been head coach of CI Tennis Academy since its inception in 2005 and has over 15 years coaching experience. Stephen is a Tennis Ireland Level 2 coach and has almost completed his Level 3 award. He coaches players of all abilities and ages and has experience producing players from pre-school to Ulster level and has also developed beginner adults up to Division 1 league standard.

Stephen can assess your game with various techniques including video analysis and can identify the specific areas that require most work. Through a system of tried and tested progressions he can make whichever improvements that are necessary and set goals for them.

Stephen has designed a unique progression system for junior classes with levels from 4-18 years old. He has also designed a system of on court tests for older juniors and adult players which provide great motivation, training drills and guidelines for the level of all their shots.

ASSISTANT COACHES

SUMEET KAPUR

Sumeet is a tennis Ireland level 1 qualified coach. He has been coaching tennis for over 15 years and has been working with CI Tennis Academy since it began
in 2005. He has coaching experience with children from 4 years old who have never played before right up towards elite tennis players who have represented their
province and their country.

He has also represented Ulster at Under 25 level and won Ulster titles both as a junior and a senior. As well as offering private individual lessons he also
offers group classes, joint lessons and hitting lessons.
